Ivanna Tokar graduated from the State Secondary School of Applied Arts in Lvov in 1984 and from the Faculty of Artistic Weaving of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lvov in 1990. Since 1977 she has been a member of the Ukrainian Visual Artists Union. She works with artistic textile (Gobelin tapestry and batik). Since 1995 she has worked as an adjunct professor in the University of Humanistic Studies in Rivne, Ukraine. Her exhibitions and awards include: the “Warsztat Twórczy – Kowary” International Symposium in Kowary, Poland (1999-2002) – Agnieszka Lackorzyńska-Sienkiewicz 2nd Prize in 2000 and distinction in 2002; the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in Krosno, Poland (2000–2014). She has participated in exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, including: Israel, England, Poland and Finland. She has held solo exhibitions in Lvov, Kiev, Rivne, Lutsk and Sambor.
