Maria Niewiadomska was born in Tarnów, Poland. She graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Poland with a degree under the tuition of prof. Zbigniew Grzybowski. She received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Maria has been the recipient of the prize for designers for her fashion collection created for the Poznań International Fair in 1995. She works with painting, sculpture and fashion design. She has held numerous solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions, including: the “Z krosna do Krosna” 8th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno in 2014; the “Mały Format” exhibition in the Dyląg Gallery in Kraków in 2015 and 2016; the “Muzyczność sztuki” sculpture installation in Kraków and Tomaszowice , Poland in 2015; and the “Face to Face” 18th International Minitextile Exhibition in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2016.
