Janusz Motylski was born in Jelenia Góra, Poland. He lives and works in Karpacz, Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Fine Arts of the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland with a degree under the tuition of prof. Alfred Biedrawa in 1989. He works with drawing, painting, graphic techniques workshop, applied graphics, unique textile, sculpture and photography. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. He has been a recipient of the „Za Wybitne Osiągnięcia w Kulturze” Prize from the Marshall of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. He was awarded the “Zasłużony dla Diecezji Legnickiej” medal for his artistic, cultural and social activity. His lifework comprises 60 solo exhibitions and over 150 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His works can be found in museum collections, galleries and in private collections in Poland and abroad, including Belarus, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Holland, Germany, Italy, China, Japan, Mexico, and the USA.
