Maciej Mesznik graduated with honours from the Textile and Clothing Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland under the tuition of prof. Krystyna Jaguczańska-Śliwińska in 2003. He is a member of the “Polish Applied Arts” Association of Polish Artists. Maciej has participated in many exhibitions and competitions, including: the “Projekt 2003” competition at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź – Inter Mar Prize, MT Trade Company Prize in 2003; the Polish National Exhibition of the Unique Textiles in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016; the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland in 2008, 2010, 2012 – distinction, and 2014 – the AKAPI Award; prize at the “Etno-dizajn” Festival in Kraków, Poland in 2010; the “Fibreman – International Exhibition of Contemporary Textile Art” in Kherson Local Lore Museum in Kherson, Ukraine in 2011, 2012, and 2013; the 9th International Biennial of Textile Art “SCYTHIA 9” in Kherson, Ukraine in 2012; and Silver Medal at the 10th International Biennial of Textile Art “SCYTHIA 10” in Kherson, Ukraine in 2014.
