Magdalena Łata graduated from the C.K. Norwid Secondary School of Visual Arts in Lublin, specializing in Artistic Textiles in 1997 and from the Painting Department of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin in 2002. She is a member of the “Otwarta pracownia” Artists Guild in Lublin, Poland. She works with artistic textile and drawing. Her solo and group exhibitions include: the 10th Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textile in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Poland in 2013; the “Sztuka włókna” Association of Polish Artists and Designers – Warsaw District exhibition in Warsaw in 2013; the 9th International Baltic Triennial of Miniature Textile in Gdynia, Poland in 2013; the “Z krosna do Krosna” 8th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno - distinction in 2014; and the “From Lausanne to Beijing” International Fiber Art Biennale in Beijing, China in 2014.
