Elżbieta Kuźniar graduated with honours from the Institute of Art of the Pedagogical Academy in Kraków in 2004. She has participated in about 150 exhibitions, including: the “Nadel Und Faden” exhibition in Osnabrück, Germany; the Minitextile exhibition in Bratislava, Slovakia; the Contextile – Contemporary Textile Art Biennial in Guimarães, Portugal; and the Polish National Exhibition of the Unique Textile in Łódź, Poland. She has received several awards, including: 1st Prize at the “Z krosna do Krosna” 6th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in 2010. Her works can be found in public collections in Poland and abroad, including: the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Tournai, Belgium; the Association Histoires de boîtes à couture in France; the Space of Contemporary Experimental Art gallery in Quiliano, Italy; the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland; the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Poland; the IFC – Department of Art & Art History in the USA; the Fiber Art Jersey Girl in New Jersey, the USA; the Kunsthalle Szombathely Gallery of Szombathely, Hungary; and the Museum of the City of Gdynia, Poland. Elżbieta’s works have been published in the “Dekada Literacka” bi-monthly journal and in the Textile Forum magazine.
