Agnieszka Jankowska was born in 1968 and graduated from the Institute of Artistic Education at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin with a degree under the tuition of prof. Sławomir Mieleszko in the Studio of Sculpture in 1994. She completed her doctorate in Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Since 1998 she has been an academic teacher at the Faculty of Space Activities of the University of Rzeszów, Poland. Her lifework comprises over 140 solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Agnieszka’s awards and distinctions include: the “Autograf 2005” painting and sculpture contest in Lublin, Poland in 2005 - award from the Dean of the Department of Art at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin; the “Salon Wielkopolski” competition - Grand Prix in 2010 and 2012; distinction at the 8th International Miniature Biennial in 2014; and distinction at the 14th “Salon Wielkopolski” competition in 2015.
