Barbara was born in 1931 in Grodno, Belarus. Currently she lives and works in Warsaw, Poland. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with a degree in the Studio of Textile under the tuition of prof. Eleonora Plutyńska in 1956. She has participated in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Barbara has also been the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions. Her exhibitions include: the “Zachęta” Gallery in Warsaw (twice); the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź, Poland; as well as exhibitions in the USA, Canada, Sweden, Holland and other countries. Her works can be found in museum collections (i.a. the National Museum in Warsaw) and in private collections in Poland and abroad. She runs lectures, workshops and individual courses in Poland and abroad.
