Helga Borish was born in Thale, Germany in 1939. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden, Germany in 1966 and since 1968 has lived in Magdeburg, Germany. Helga is a member of the National Association of Artists. She works with artistic textiles. She has held solo exhibitions in: Germany (Magdeburg, Greifswald, Burg, Wernigerode, Erfurt, Halberstadt, Oschersleben, Essen, Baden-Baden, Stassfurt, Warnemünde, Halle, Bitterfeld, Quedlinburg), Poland (Wrocław) and Spain (Barcelona). She has participated in group exhibitions in: Germany (Magdeburg, Leipzig, Dresden, Göttingen, Bonn, Halle, Halberstadt, Frankfurt-on-the-Oder, Merseburg, Salzwedel), Bulgaria (Gabrovo), Hungary (Szombathely), Belgium (Brüssel), Italy (Como), Spain (Barcelona) and Poland (Gorzów, Bydgoszcz, Gdynia, Krosno, Kraków). Her works can be found in public institutions, museums and in private collections.
