Biography:

Maria Katarzyna Dietrych graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź with a degree at the Studio of Carpet and Gobelin Tapestry under the tuition of A.Starczewski in 1990. She works with unique textile and painting. She has participated in many competitions and exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including: Summer Art Salon – Grand Prix, Bureau for Art Exhibitions, Bielsko-Biała, Poland in 1995; the “Sztuka włókna” exhibition, Bureau for Art Exhibitions, Bielsko-Biała in 1997; “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial, the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2008 and 2012; 5^th and 6^th International Baltic Triennial of Miniature Textiles, the “Dar Pomorza” National Maritime Museum in Gdynia, Poland in 2000 and 2004; 9th Polish National Exhibition of Unique Miniature, Central Museum of Textiles, Łódź, Poland in 2004; Bureau for Art Exhibitions, Bielsko-Biała, solo exhibition in 2006; the Exhibition of Miniature Textiles at the Martha Gault Gallery, Slippery Rock, USA in 2008; Galerie Time, Vienna, Austria in 2009; Cathedral Green, Wells, Somerset, Great Britain in 2012; the solo exhibition at the Archdiocesan Museum in Katowice, Poland in 2012; the solo exhibition at the “Logos” European Culture Centre in Łódź, Poland in 2013 and the solo exhibition at the “ZAMEK” Art Gallery in Sucha Beskidzka, Poland in 2013.
