Biography:

Anna Boršovská-Nemcová was born in 1955 in Slovakia. She lives and works in Svidník, Slovakia. She graduated from the Faculty of Graphics of the Secondary School of Art Industry in Košice, Slovakia and from the Faculty of Applied Graphics of the University of Fine Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia with a degree under the tuition of prof. J. Chovan and doc. O. Lupták in 1981. She works with artistic textile and she devotes her attention primarily to authorial tapestry, miniature textile, spatial objects, relief, fashion design, hand-made paper and applied graphics as well as pedagogical activities. She is a member of the Slovenská výtvarná únia; the Spoločnosť voľných výtvarných umelcov; and the Združenie slovenských textilných výtvarníkov TXT. Anna holds solo exhibitions and participates in group exhibitions in Slovakia and abroad. Her works can be found in museum collections and in private collections in Slovakia and abroad.
