Biography:

Tetiana Łukaszewicz graduated from the Lvov National Academy of Arts in 1978. She lives and works in the Ukraine where she works with artistic textiles, Gobelin tapestry, installation and painting. Since 1993 she has been a member of Ukrainian Visual Artists Union and has participated in over 200 exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad: in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Japan and Russia. Tetiana has often participated in the Weaving Open Air Workshop in Jaworów, Ukraine, as well as in the international open air painting workshops in Piotrków Trybunalski, Poland, and in the exhibitions of the experimental artistic textile in Lvov, Ukraine. Since 2005 Tetiana has been a curator of the International Painting Open Air Workshop in Ostroh, Ukraine. She has participated in the Ukrainian Textile Art Triennial in Kiev, Ukraine, in 2004, 2007, 2011 and 2013. She also has held solo exhibitions in: Rivne, Ukraine, in 1996, 2003, 2006, 2011 and 2012; Zbarazh, Ukraine in 2001; Lutsk, Ukraine, in 2003; Białystok, Poland, in 2007 and Lublin, Poland, in 2012. Her works can be found in the museum collections and private collections in Ukraine, as well as in private collections in Sweden, Canada, Poland and Russia.
