Motto: For me linen as a textile fibre in combination with the primary elements of Latvian ornaments - the sun, star and criss-cross motifs makes me think of the unity between ancient past and the present time.

Biography:
Born in Latvia. Studies at the Riga Applied Art High School (1955-1960) and at the Latvian Academy of Arts – Department of Textile Art (1965-1970). She has been a member of the Textile Arts Association since 1994. The degree of Master of Arts she received in 1993; Since 1989 she has been a member of the Artists’ Union in Latvia. Since 1973 she has been working as a tutor at the Latvian Academy of Arts. Exhibitions: Latvia, Russia, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia and Greece.
