Maciej Mesznik graduated with honours from the Textile and Clothing Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź under the tuition of prof. Krystyna Jaguczańska–Śliwińska in 2003. He continued education at postgraduate studies in Graphics at the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Fine Arts and Design of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice (2020). His awards include: Inter-Mar Award and MT Trade Company Award from Mexico – “Projekt 2003”, Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (2003); the “Rocznik‘03” – exhibition of the graduates in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź – nomination for the Prize (2004); the “Etnodizajn Festiwal” in Kraków – Prize (2010); the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno – Awarded Mention (2012), the AKAPI Foundation Award (2014), Prize (2016); Silver Medal at the 10th International Biennial of Textile Art “SCYTHIA 10” in Kherson, Ukraine (2014); “Małe Formy Plastyczne” competition in Rzeszów, Poland – nomination for the Prize (2016); Le Prix Montrouge 2017 – the 13e Exposition Internationale d’art, Textile Contemporain – Miniartextill “Tisser les reves”, Ville de Montrouge, Montrouge, France (2017).; Award – Biennale Tkaniny Artystycznej, Centrum Kultury i Sztuki in Skierniewice (2018); laureate of the 2nd International Triennial of Mini-Textiles “Treasure Island. City”, the State Museum of History of St. Petersbirg, St. Petersburg, Russia. Maciej Mesznik has participated in over 80 collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad and 21 individual presentations.
