Maria Jełowiecka has been working in art textiles since 1974. She has belonged to the Warsaw District of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (since 2001). She is a participant of numerous collective exhibitions, including the National Exhibition of the Polish Miniature Textile, Central Museum of Textile, Łódź (2001, 2013), International Symposium of Fibre Art “Creative Workshop – Kowary” (2004-2017) and many others. She organized 35 individual exhibitions. Her awards include: “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial – Awarded Mention (2004, 2011, 2016); International Symposium “Creative Workshop – Kowary” – 3rd Prize (2006, 2008); Exhibition of the Experimental Studio in Warsaw - 1st Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2009); “Art Competition MUZA 2015 – Magdalena Abakanowicz” – 3rd Prize, Warsaw (2015).
