She was born in 1971 in Nysa, Poland. She studied at the State Secondary School of Visual Arts in Wrocław,(specialisation in art and jewellery) and at the Folk High School in Wzdów (specialisation in cultural and educational inspection). Sylwia graduated from the Faculty of Art of the University of Rzeszów with her bachelor's degree. She obtained her diploma in the Interdisciplinary Studio of Painting under the tuition of doc. prof. Antoni Nikiel, doc. prof. Marek Olszański and doc. prof. Marek Pokrywka. Currently, she continues her master's degree in painting at the Faculty of Art of her home university. Maria is a fan of linen. She has participated in: numerous exhibitions, including the “Poszukiwanie siebie” in the Jasło Community Center (2018); the “TĘCZERŃ I” exhibition in the Cross-border Cultural Exchange Center in Dukla, Poland (2017); the “Do-tkliwość” exhibition in the Youth Culture Center in Sanok, Poland (2016); open-air sessions and group exhibitions, including “GENIUS SAECULI” in r_z Gallery of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers – District of Rzeszów (2017).
