Iwanna Tokar graduated from the State Secondary School of Applied Arts in Lviv in 1984 and from the Faculty of Artistic Weaving of the Lviv National Academy of Arts in 1990. Since 1977 she has been a member of the Ukrainian Association of Artists. She works with artistic textile (Gobelin tapestry and batik). Since 1995 she has worked as an adjunct professor in the University of Humanistic Studies in Rivne, Ukraine. Her exhibitions and awards include: the “Warsztat Twórczy-Kowary” International Symposium in Kowary, Poland (1999-2002) – the Agnieszka Lackorzyńska-Sienkiewicz 2^nd Prize in 2000 and distinction in 2002; and the “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial held by the Museum of Crafts in Krosno (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016). She has participated in exhibitions in Ukraine (Lviv, Kiev, Rivne, Lutsk and Sambor) and abroad (Israel, England, Poland and Finland).
