Lileya Kvasnytsya-Ambicka was born in Lviv, Ukraine. She graduated from the Faculty of Artistic Textile of the Lviv National Academy of Arts in Ukraine in 1982. Since 1993 she has been a member of the Ukrainian Association of Artists. She works with Gobelin tapestry and artistic textile. Since 1983 Lileya has participated in exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. She has given solo exhibitions in Ukraine (Lviv and Zhovkva) and in Poland (Kraków, Sanok and Krosno).
