Anna Jesinowicz-Nguyen was born in 1956 in Głogów, Poland. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1980. Since 1999 she has collaborated with the “Na Jatkach” Gallery in Wrocław, Poland. She designs artistic textile, uses her own designs, copies the masters of Gobelin tapestry and creates portraits using Gobelin tapestry. She has participated in solo exhibitions such as the “Poezja i sploty” in Wrocław (2004); the “Sploty duszy” in Jelenia Góra and Chojnów, Poland (2007); the “Gobeliny ocalone od zapomnienia” in Wrocław (2010); the “Z pamiętnika Penelopy” in Wrocław (2012); the “Tkanina artystyczna” in Jastrzębie Zdrój, Poland (2012); the “Oswoić przemijanie. Portret Tkacki” in Warsaw (2016); and the “Artysta jest Tkaczem – Tkacz jest artystą” in Szklarska Poręba, Poland (2017). She has participated also in many group exhibitions, such as: the “ALE tkanina” in the Centre of Weaving Traditions in Prudnik, Poland (2013); the “Praca kobiety nigdy się nie kończy” in the International Cultural Centre in Cracow and in Pomeranian Dukes’ Castle in Szczecin, Poland (2013); the “XL lat Sztuki Włókna w Kowarach i na Dolnym Śląsku 1974-2014” exhibition in Łódź and Jelenia Góra (2014); and the 11^th Triennale Internationale Des Mini-Textiles in Angres, France (2017). Anna’s awards and distinctions: the 4^th and 5^th “Z krosna do Krosna” International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno – 2^nd Prize (2006) and distinctions (2008, 2010 and 2011); the 10^th Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textile in the Central Museum of Textiles, Łódź – nomination for the Prize (2013).
