Born 1950 in Merkine, Lithuania. Graduated from the Lithuanian State Institute of Art – Department of Textile; specialization in clothing design (1972). Works as a Professor at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. A member of the Lithuanian Artist’s Association (since 1990) and an Honorary Member of the Organization of World Textile Art (since 2003). Awards: WTA 2^nd International Biennial “Interlacement – fiber and metal” – third prize (2002); WTA 3^rd International Biennial “Square – Carre- Cuadrado” – third prize (2004); the 4^th International Biennial of mini Textiles “The open letter” – award for professionalism; the 5^th Cheongju International Craft Biennale “Deeply and slowly – Creative Evolutions” – special citation (2007); the “Z krosna do Krosna” 5^th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial – distinction (2008). Exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. Her works can be found in museums and private collections in Lithuania and abroad.
