The Museum of Crafts in Krosno has completed recruitment for "Z krosna do Krosna" 11th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial and for the DEBUTS 2022 Competition accompanying the event. 88 artists from 10 countries (Czech Republic, Finland, Japan, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, USA, Great Britain) applied for the current edition of the Krosno Biennial and presented 113 works. Eighty artists are taking part in the main competition and eight in the DEBUTS 2022 Competition.
All works submitted to the competition were qualified by the Jury. Additionally, apart from the competition, 3 artists who are the jurors of the biennial will take part in the biennial exhibitions. Therefore, this year's exhibition will be enriched with 4 works. "We are delighted that the artists responded in such great numbers to the invitation to participate in the 11th edition of the event," says Marta Rymar, D.E., Director of the Museum of Crafts in Krosno.
The final of "Z krosna do Krosna" 11th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial will begin with the Jury meeting on August 17, 2022. The winners of the biennial will be announced on August 20, 2022 during the vernissage combined with the award ceremony. The Museum of Crafts in Krosno invites you to take part in this ceremony at the BWA Gallery in Krosno (Portiusa 4 street). The presentation of the premiere exhibition will last until October 16, 2022. During its duration, a number of educational activities are planned.
Honorary patronage at "Z krosna do Krosna" 11th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial 2022 is held by: The Minister of Culture and National Heritage prof. Piotr Gliński, Marshal of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship Władysław Ortyl, Mayor of the City of Krosno Piotr Przytocki.
The author of the graphic motive is Mirosław Rymar, a graphic artist, doctor of art, a graduate of the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Krosno and the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He has been an employee at the Carpathian State University in Krosno.
The organizer and originator of the event is the Museum of Crafts in Krosno. The partner in the implementation of the premiere exhibition is the BWA Gallery in Krosno.
