Maciej Mesznik graduated from the Textile and Clothing Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland with a degree with honours under the tuition of prof. Krystyna Jaguszańska-Śliwecka in 2003. He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. Maciej has participated in many exhibitions and competitions, including: the “Projekt 2003” competition at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź – Inter Mar Prize, MT Trade Company Prize in 2003; the “Wyobraźnia zmaterializowana” exhibition in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions in Skierniewice, Poland in 2005; the “Jatki” gallery in Nowy Targ, Poland in 2007; the Central Museum of Texiles in Łódź in 2008; the Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textile in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź in 2007, 2010 and 2013; the “Z krosna do Krosna” Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial held the Museum of Crafts in Krosno in 2008, 2010 and 2012; the 'Fibreman – International Exhibition of Contemporary Textile Art in Kherson, Ukraine; and the 9th International Biennial of Textile Art SCYTHIA 9 in Kherson, Ukraine in 2012. He was rewarded at the “Etnodizajn” Festival in Cracow, Poland in 2010.
