Biography: Teresa Rucińska graduated with honours from the Studio of prof. Jacek Sienicki, the Studio of prof. Marian Czapla and the Studio of prof. Stanisław Andrzejewski of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland in 1992. She works with drawing, painting, collage and unique textile. The list of her exhibitions includes: the “Formy tkackie”, the “Rondo Gallery” in Warsaw (2016); the finalists ' exhibition during the “Muza 2015 – Magdalena Abakanowicz” competition, the Culture Promotion Centre in Warsaw (2015); the 10th Polish National Exhibition of Miniature Textile in the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź – nomination for the prize (2013); the “Materia³, Medium, Metafora” Festival of Textile Art, the “Ostrołęka” Gallery in Ostrołęka, Poland (2010); the “Z krosna do Krosna” 5th International Artistic Linen Cloth Biennial in the Museum of Crafts in Krosno, Poland (2008 – distinction, 2010 and 2012– 2nd Prize, 2014 – nomination for the prize, 2016 – distinction); the “Tkanina inspirowana twórczości Moniuszki” exhibition in the Museum of Independence in Warsaw – 1st Prize ex-equo (2002); the “Sacrum’96” 7th Sacral Art Biennial in the Bureau for Artistic Exhibitions in Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland – distinction (1996); the “Tkanina” exhibition in the Gallery of the President of Warsaw (1994).
